Abdominal tourniquet nodal SICH-AAJT-S (Compression Works, USA)
22,000.00 грн
Nodal tourniquet SICH-AAJT-S for stopping bleeding where a regular tourniquet cannot be applied: inguinal area, axillary hollow, abdominal cavity. Works on the principle of pneumatic compression — an inflatable chamber presses the main blood vessel or abdominal aorta. Additionally used for stabilization of pelvic bone fractures. Official supply to Ukraine under TM SICH®.
per item:
Abdominal Tourniquet SICH-AAJT-S (Abdominal Aortic and Junctional Tourniquet — Stabilized) covers the most severe category of injuries in tactical medicine — junctional bleeding. These are areas at the border of the torso and limbs: groin, armpit, pelvis. A classic tourniquet there cannot be applied, namely on them falls a significant portion deaths that could have been prevented.
How it works
The device is fixed around the torso or pelvis with a ratchet mechanism. Above the injury zone is located wedge-shaped pneumatic chamber, which is inflated with a manual bulb. The chamber presses the main blood vessel — femoral, subclavian artery or abdominal aorta in the area of bifurcation — and blocks blood flow proximal to the site of injury.
Wedge-shapedchamber shape creates pressure on a large area. This is fundamental: the medic does not need to hit the vessel exactly on the first try, effective compression is achieved even with approximate positioning. In combat conditions, when time is counted in seconds, this critical.

Four scenarios of application
- Axillary inlet — compression of the subclavian artery when injuries to the upper part torso and high arm amputations.
- Inguinal area — control bleeding from the femoral artery in groin injuries and high leg amputations. Works both unilaterally and bilaterally.
- Abdominal zone — compression of the abdominal aorta to stop bleeding in the pelvis, groin and both lower limbs simultaneously.
- Pelvic stabilization — fixation when suspecting pelvic bone fracture . Reduces internal bleeding and risk of further vessel and organ damage. In this mode pneumatic chamber does not inflate.
Design
- Wedge-shaped pneumatic chamber — distributes pressure over a large area, reduces precision requirements for application.
- Manual bulb with valve and indicator — inflation is performed until the green indicator lights up, without measuring devices and calculations.
- Tape with red marks — when the red ends meet, the circumference is correct. <span class="_animating_yu34g_10" data-newtext-seq="346"Visual control without measurements.
- Ratchet buckle — eliminates loosening and maintains compression during repositioning and transportation of the injured.
Application procedure
- Secure the device around the patient, connect the strap so that the red ends meet.
- Place the pneumatic chamber over the target area.
- Tighten belt, removing all looseness.
- Complete tightening with the ratchet mechanism.
- Inflate the air chamber with a bulb until the green indicator on the valve lights up.
To stabilize the pelvis: place the belt at the level of the greater trochanters of the femur bones, tighten, remove slack, tighten with the ratchet mechanism. Do not inflate the pneumatic chamber.
What you need to know before use
- The device cannot be cut for removal. Premature removal leads to resumption of bleeding.
- Application time varies depending on the application area and is specified in the instructions in in the package. The moment of application must be recorded.
- For abdominal application there are contraindications — see manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use requires preparation. The device is designed for combat medic, paramedic or rescuer, but not on self-help.
For whom
Combat medics, emergency response paramedics, tactical medics, rescue services, emergency surgery departments. According to international practice recommended saturation rate — at least one device per squad.
Official supply to Ukraine
SICH-AAJT-S is supplied under a partnership agreement between Ukrainian company “SICH Ukraine” — the largest domestic manufacturer of hemostatic tourniquets — and American developer Compression Works, Inc. The product is being brought to market under the trademark SICH®.
Before this agreement abdominal tourniquets came to Ukraine mainly through unofficial channels, which made it impossible for them to be purchased by military units. “SIČ Ukraine” conducted certification and registration of the product — now it is available for official purchase by units, volunteer organizations and civilian buyers, without months of waitingforeign supplies.
