How they differ from regular matches
An ordinary match only burns at the head, and the first gust of wind extinguishes it. In a storm match, the combustible mass is applied to half the stick — the black coating in the photo. It flares from the head and burns like a small torch: the wind doesn’t blow out the flame, and rain doesn’t extinguish it. These are the same matches called windproof or hunting matches — only in a water-resistant version and hermetic packaging.

– to light an alcohol burner, mini-stove, dry fuel or gas burner in wind and frost, when a lighter doesn’t spark or gas doesn’t evaporate;
– to start a fire with damp kindling — up to 20 seconds of flame versus 3–5 in an ordinary match;

Instructions for use
- Unscrew the cap. Strike the match head on the striker on the inside of the cap.
- Hold the match head down at an angle — the flame will go up along the coating and burn for about 20 seconds.
- If the match gets wet — shake off the drops; it will continue to burn.
- Do not extinguish the match with your hands: the stick is hot, let it cool down and only then throw it away.
- After use, screw the lid tightly — the grater should remain dry.

Flammable product. Keep out of reach of children. Do not ignite in enclosed spaces and near flammable materials. Keep away from fire, heat and impacts. Store in a tightly closed tube in a dry place.

Frequently asked questions
Will they ignite if wet? — The head and stem are protected with a waterproof coating, and a lit match burns in the rain. The striker must be dry — that’s why it’s inside the cap: keep the tube closed.
How long does one match burn? — About 20 seconds with a steady flame, which is enough to ignite a burner or kindling, even if damp.
Why 7 pieces and not 20? — This is a reserve, not daily consumption: a tube the size of a marker fits in a cargo pocket, first aid kit, or survival kit. For a base camp or group, it’s more convenient to take several tubes.
Can you light it from a regular box? — Yes, but you can use the striker in the cap or inside the tube.
How are they different from hunting matches? — Nothing fundamentally different: “hunting,” “storm,” and “wind-resistant” — names for one class of long-burning matches. UWOIL adds water-resistant coating and a hermetic tube to this.
