Instructions for use

1. Before first use, wash utensils with detergent and wipe dry.
2. To disassemble the set: slide the knife and fork along the spoon handle to the wide part of the slots and remove from the pins.
3. Eating; cut with the knife on a board, pot lid or in your hand away from you. Open the bottle with the slot in the knife blade, not with the fork prongs.
4. After eating, rinse and wipe — especially after salty and acidic food: 420 steel does not like prolonged contact with salt.
5. Fold: put the fork and knife onto the spoon pins with the slots and slide into the narrow part of the slots until fixed. Place the stone in the pot pocket, pouch or box.

The tools can be washed in a dishwasher, but the anodized aluminum handle will dull over time — it’s better to wash by hand. The pins are brass and won’t rust; if the fastening has loosened, tighten the pin screws slightly with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not use the knife to chop ice or open cans — the serrator will be damaged.

The knife has a cutting edge: cut away from yourself, do not give to children, carry in a backpack only in a folded case. The fork prongs are long and sharp — in the folded set they are covered by the knife, do not carry the fork separately in a pocket. How do the utensils stay together?
On the spoon handle there are two brass pins with heads, on the fork and knife there are slots in the shape of a lock slot. Slid onto the pins, pushed together — the pin heads hold the utensils, they don’t fall apart and don’t rattle. To disconnect — push back and remove.

Is the knife sharp?
The fine serrated blade cuts bread, lard, sausage, cheese, vegetables and meat from a plate. The tip is rounded, so the set is safe in a pocket, but this is a table knife, not a camping one — you need a separate one for wood and cans.

Does it rust?
420 stainless steel, but with less salt resistance than kitchen 304. A wet set left for a long time with salty food residue can develop spots. Rinse, wipe — it serves for years. The pins are brass and don’t rust.

Can it go in the dishwasher?
Steel — yes. The orange anodized aluminum handles fade over time from aggressive tablets; if color matters — wash by hand.
