Sawyer Micro Squeeze Water Filter

Sawyer SP2129 Micro Squeeze Water Filtration System — an ultra-compact, lightweight, and reusable water filtration system designed for hiking, camping, travel, everyday use, and emergency preparedness.

Weighing just 57 g, the filter fits easily in your palm and takes up almost no space in your backpack. Despite its compact size, Sawyer Micro Squeeze provides powerful water filtration and removes 99.99999% of bacteria, including Salmonella, Vibrio cholerae, and E. coli, as well as 99.9999% of protozoa, including Cryptosporidium and Giardia.

The filter can be used in several ways: attach it to the included soft water pouch, drink directly from the source using the included straw tube, connect it to a drinking system tube, or screw it onto standard disposable water bottles or carbonated beverage bottles with 28 mm threads.

The kit includes a reusable soft pouch with a capacity of 946 ml, made from stronger and softer material. It is approximately twice lighter than the standard Sawyer Squeeze pouch of the same volume and features an updated bottom for easier filling and better stability.

The Sawyer Micro Squeeze filter has a lifespan of up to 378,500 L of water. This is a reliable solution for tourists, travelers, campers, ultralight gear enthusiasts, and those preparing emergency kits or go-bags.

How It Works

Absolute 0.1 micron filtration

Sawyer filters use a large number of tiny U-shaped hollow microtubes. They trap contaminants while allowing purified water to pass through the filter at a high flow rate.

This technology reduces the need for prolonged water storage and helps reduce the risk of recontamination after filtration.

Sawyer Micro Squeeze is certified to filter down to 0.1 microns. This means the pore size in the filter material does not exceed 0.1 microns, so harmful bacteria, protozoa, and cysts, including E. coli, Giardia, Vibrio cholerae, and Salmonella typhi, do not pass through the filter.

All Sawyer filters meet or exceed the contaminant removal standards recommended by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Features

Clean water for years of use

Sawyer Micro Squeeze is suitable for outdoor recreation, hiking, camping, scouting, travel within Ukraine and abroad, as well as emergency preparedness.

To get clean water, simply fill the included reusable pouch with water from an available source, screw on the filter, and drink directly through it or squeeze the purified water into a bottle.

For even greater versatility, the filter can be screwed onto most standard disposable water bottles or carbonated beverage bottles with 28 mm threads, or installed inline with a drinking system tube sold separately.

Easy field maintenance

The Sawyer Micro Squeeze filter membranes are durable enough to withstand backflushing with the included plunger syringe. After cleaning, you can restore up to 98.5% of the filter’s flow rate.

The filter can be cleaned and reused almost unlimited times. No expensive replacement cartridges needed. For optimal performance, it is recommended to rinse and disinfect the filter after each hike, trip, or active outdoor use.

Compactness and versatility

Sawyer Micro Squeeze is a convenient filter for those who want to minimize gear weight without sacrificing effectiveness. It weighs only 57 g, fits easily in a pocket, first aid kit, backpack, or go-bag.

The filter is suitable for:

• hiking;
• camping;
• ultralight backpacking;
• travel;
• fishing and outdoor recreation;
• emergency supplies;
• go-bags;
• on-the-road use.
