Description

Gas burner for threaded cylinder, foldable, 3200 W, 109 g, with flame regulator and case — a compact tourist burner of the classic “screw onto a cartridge — put on a pot” design: screws onto any threaded cartridge 7/16″ per EN 417 (100, 230 or 450 g) and boils a liter of water in 6.5 minutes. Three folding stainless steel supports with teeth open to Ø 14 cm — for a mug, pot up to 2 l or a frying pan; when folded, the burner is Ø 5.3 × 11 cm and weighs 109 g, so it fits inside a pot together with a 230 g cartridge. Flame is controlled by a brass valve with a folding wire handle — from barely noticeable “for maintaining heat” to full 3.2 kW; gas consumption at maximum 130 g/hour. Ignited with a match or lighter, no piezo ignition — so there’s nothing that most often breaks in burners. Included is an orange plastic case 11.5 × 6 × 6 cm: supports don’t bend in a backpack, threads don’t getis covered with sand.

The burner works only with threaded cylinders — the catalog has all-season 100 g, 230 g and 450 g with a butane-isobutane-propane mixture that maintains pressure down to −23 °C. It does not fit cartridge cylinders 220 g: for those — folding Kovar ZT-203 burner with wind protection and Kovar ZT-202. To light the burner in rain and wind — storm matches UWOIL. All cylinders, stoves and burners — in the section Gas cylinders, stoves and heaters.

For whom

  • Soldiers in positions: burner with 230 g cartridge in a pouch — tea and heating rations in five minutes without smoke or firewood; nothing to assemble, nothing to break
  • Tourists, cyclists, runners: 109 g, fits in a pot together with the cartridge, one liter of water in 6.5 minutes
  • Mountaineers and winter hikes: works on all-season cartridge in frost, wire valve handle is convenient to turn in gloves
  • Fishermen, hunters, car tourists: coffee on the shore, soup at a rest stop, scrambled eggs in a pan — without a campfire and fire permits
  • Emergency backpack and home during power outages: burner and 450 g cartridge — a week of hot meals on a balcony or in a yard

Advantages

  • 3200 W — a liter of water boils in 6.5 minutes
  • 109 g, when folded Ø 5.3 × 11 cm — in a pot together with a cartridge
  • Three stainless steel supports with teeth, span Ø 14 cm — dishes from a mug to a 2 l pot do not slip
  • Smooth flame adjustment with a brass valve with a folding handle — from heating to full power
  • No piezo ignition — nothing to break; ignites with a match or lighter in any frost
  • Thread 7/16″ EN 417 — fits all threaded cartridges 100, 230, 450 g
  • Stainless steel, brass and aluminum — does not rust, does not burn through
  • <span style="color: #000000;"Plastic case included — protection for supports and threads in backpack and pouch

Instructions for Use

  1. Make sure the valve is closed — handle turned clockwise to the stop. Extend all three supports to the stop.
  2. Screw the burner onto the threaded cylinder clockwise to the stop — without effort or misalignment, the thread enters freely. Place the cylinder vertically on a flat non-flammable surface.
  3. Bring a lit match or lighter to the head and smoothly open the valve a quarter turn — gas ignites immediately. Do not open the gas before bringing fire to it.
  4. Place the cookware in the center of the supports and adjust the flame: for boiling — maximum, for porridge or reheating — minimum. The flame should be blue; if yellow and smoky — close the valve, wait a few seconds, ignite again.
  5. After cooking, close the valve completely, let the burner cool for 2–3 minutes, unscrew from the cylinder, fold the supports, place in the case.

<span style="color: #000000;"The burner has no wind protection: in the wind, place it behind a backpack, stone, or screen on the windward side, without covering the canister from all sides — it needs air for cooling. In winter, keep the canister in your pocket before cooking: a cold canister produces a weak flame, and the burner is not to blame for this. Do not wash the head after use — soot from the perforation is cleaned with a dry brush; keep the thread clean from sand, carry the burner in a case.

Safety

Use only with threaded cylinders per EN 417; do not screw on using homemade adapters to cartridge cylinders and lighter refill cylinders. Prepare only in the open air or in a shelter with air intake — gas combustion produces carbon monoxide; do not use in a closed tent, car, bunker without ventilation. Do not tilt or move the burner on the cylinder during operation — liquid gas creates a torch. Do not cover the cylinder with a windscreen on all sides and do not place a container wider than 20 cm: heat reflects onto the cylinder. The supports, head and stand are hot for several minutes after operation — hold only by the valve handle or by the case. Change the cylinder only on a cold burner away from fire. Do not leave the operating burner unattended; keep away from children. Store in the case, unscrewed from the balher.

Frequently asked questions

Is it compatible with a 220 g cartridge?
No. The burner screws onto a 7/16″ EN 417 thread — these are 100, 230, and 450 g cartridges with a threaded valve. For cartridges with a collet, use Kovar ZT-203 or ZT-202.

Why no piezo ignition?
The piezo element is the most vulnerable part of a burner: it fails from moisture, frost, and impact. There isn’t one here, the burner is lighter and simpler, and it ignites with a match or lighter in a second. For rain — storm matches.

What cookware can you use?
From a 0.3 l mug to a 2 l pot and a skillet up to 20 cm: teeth on three supports hold a bottom 8–20 cm in diameter. On a 100 g cartridge, place no more than 1 l — the construction is tall and tips over; on 230 and 450 g the stability is sufficient.

How long does a cartridge last?
At full power 130 g/hour: 100 g — about 45 minutes, 230 g — about 1 hour 45 minutes, 450 g — about 3.5 hours. At half power — twice as long. One liter of water at maximum costs 14 g of gas in calm conditions and twice as much in wind.

Does it work in winter?
The burner itself is not afraid of frost — it all depends on the canister. Works on all-season propane mix down to −23 °C; warm the canister in your pocket before cooking, shield it from the wind on the windward side.

Can it be used in a tent or dugout?
In an enclosed space — no: combustion produces carbon monoxide. In a vestibule with an open entrance, under a canopy, in a dugout with air intake — yes, on a non-flammable surface and under supervision.

Can you fry with it?
Yes, on a pan up to 20 cm. The flame is concentrated in the center, so you need to stir the food; at minimum the burner maintains a barely visible flame without flare-ups — convenient for stewing and porridge.
