History of the YAMATO knife creation
Strength, determination and uncompromising quality — these are the very qualities embodied by the YAMATO knife with an American tanto blade type.
The blade shape was created based on the Japanese short sword tanto, which was used by samurai. The modern interpretation of this blade became popular in military and tactical knives due to its high penetrating ability and tip strength.
The YAMATO knife was created taking into account modern requirements of military personnel, rescuers and special forces units.
American tanto for tactical tasks
The American tanto blade type has a characteristic shape with two cutting edges that converge at an angle in the tip area.
This design provides:
- high penetrating ability

Thanks to these characteristics, the YAMATO knife is widely used by military personnel, tourists and outdoor enthusiasts.
