What it’s for
The factory water-repellent coating on a sleeping bag wears off from washing, compression in a bag, and friction. Then it’s simple: condensation from the tent, dew, and wet tent floor soak the fabric, down clumps together, synthetics pull water — and the sleeping bag stops keeping you warm right when it matters most. Wash-in treatment restores protection immediately across the entire surface, including seams, baffles, and the insulation itself — something an external spray won’t do.

Application method
- Wash the sleeping bag with a soft liquid detergent without conditioner and bleach (down — with down wash) and rinse twice: detergent residue blocks water repellency.
- Pour the bottle into the conditioner compartment or into the drum. Sleeping bag up to 1.5 kg — 1 bottle, heavier winter — 2.
- Wash at 30 °C without detergent, delicate mode, spin up to 800 rpm. Better in a front-loading machine without a central agitator.
- Dry in a dryer on low temperature; down — with 2–3 tennis balls until fully fluffed. Without a dryer — lay flat and periodically break up down clumps. Do not leave damp.
- Apply with every sleeping bag wash.
Warning
Do not mix with detergents. Avoid contact with eyes; if contact occurs, rinse with water. Keep away from children. Contains a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-2H-isothiazol-3-one (3:1) — may cause allergic reaction. Store at +5…+25 °C in a tightly sealed container, do not freeze.

How often should I wash a sleeping bag? — Once or twice per season or when it stops insulating and repelling water. Between washes — air out and store without compression. Add durable water repellent with each wash.
Why can’t you pour it together with detergent? — Impregnation is cationic, detergents are anionic: together they neutralize each other, and there will be no effect. That’s why a separate cycle after rinsing.
Will the sleeping bag become waterproof? — No, this is water repellency: drops roll off, the fabric doesn’t absorb water, the insulation stays dry. A mat under the tent protects from puddles, not impregnation.
Is it suitable for a down jacket? — Yes, 1 bottle per 1 jacket, the same washing and drying order with balls.
